You can see me here on weekend mornings for brunch, curing my hangovers after a night out in Beyoğlu. This cute little breakfast spot is perfect for meeting friends or an awkward morning meal with your date from the night before. Grab a seat on the patio in the back to listen to drizzle of the fountain while eating delicious food.

The brunch menu here is a list of different breakfast spreads, from classic Turkish breakfast platters adorned with cheeses, jams and fresh accoutrements to vegan spreads or menemen, the famous scrambled eggs with tomatoes and green peppers.  International breakfast staples are also available. Poached eggs on avocado and sourdough,  pesto and spinach omelettes and even some haram delicacies like bacon and eggs.

What to order: Get the İzmir breakfast, a regional take on the Turkish breakfast spread. Hot slices of simit come with a sharp tulum chese melted on cast iron, accompanied by cucumbres, tomatoes and delicious lor (Turkish sweet ricotta) cheese topped with black mulberry jam. The flaky and crispy gözleme filled with lor cheese and topped with honey and clotted cream is also a decadent start to the day.

What to know: The service can need some nudging on busy weekend mornings. It’s never impossible to find a seat here, but weekends do require some waiting at times. If you are lucky you'll be served by the owner, a sassy queen who'll leave an impression. It's a way of showing love in a neighbourhood where everyone can be a potential friend or brunch buddy.
