I’ll be frank. Özdeveli is not the best in town. But if it’s your last day, and you forgot to try a pide, it’s a good option to get a sense of what an amazing pide could be, with some imagination. Otherwise also good when you crave it and are in the neighborhood.
What to order: Any of the classic pides: minced meat, braised meat, cheese. No alcohol, go for the ayran or şalgam.
What to know: A good pide is supposed to be crispy and rich in ingredients. The bottom should not fall down like a Neapolitan pizza, but should stay firm like a New York one. Yet the ingredients should be freshers, not overcooked or dried up.
